Ministry says Russia collects 78 mln tns of grain
SVERDLOV SETTLEMENT, Leningrad Region, Aug 15 (PRIME) -- Russian farmers have collected 78 million tonnes of grain to ensure the state’s food security, Director of a department of the Agriculture Ministry Roman Nekrasov said on August 13.
“As of yesterday, Russian farmers have threshed 78 million tonnes of grain thus ensuring (the state’s) own food security,” he said.
The ministry earlier said that Russia’s 2022 grain harvest can amount to 130 million tonnes, including 87 tonnes of wheat.
